Happy Birthday Elvis - January 8, 1935
January 8th - Elvis would have been 75! I first watched Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show at my grandmother's house (1956)- she didn't think much of him! I remember going to Tulsa see Elvis when I was about 14 or 15 years old - he was performing with the Grand Ole Opry, and performed maybe 15 minutes. Of course, we only went to see Elvis...could have cared less about the rest of the show.

Oh, lovely Elvis. I was born in the late 50's, so I grew up hearing him singing on my parents record player and yes, I remember where I was when he died!
