For the third year in a row, a pair of beautiful bluebirds have chosen our birdhouse in which to raise a family. They didn't choose the "real" bluebird house which was purchased at Wild Birds and is specifically designed for bluebirds....oh,no!They chose instead the "ornamental" birdhouse that we thought was for decoration only. Maybe they like it because it matches their feathers!
Anyway, they have been busy bringing twigs and grasses to make their home more comfortable. Once the babies have hatched, we help them out a bit by supplying freeze dried worms (yum).

They are adorable! I love their housing complex. I wonder if they will choose the same home every year, or ring the changes? Kath
So far they have chosen the same little house. Of course, it's the one that doesn't open up so we're not able to clean it out between uses. However, they seem to be pretty tidy, carrying off their "trash".
